Inbound Sales Strategist

As our first point of contact for folks interested in Contently, this individual must be curious, smart, self-driven and professional.  This entry level sales role comes with high potential for advancement, as such the candidate must be eager to begin a career in sales (any existing sales experience or relevant sales skills are a bonus).  Outstanding communication skills are required both on and offline.  Must enjoy spending time on the phone and helping customers solve problems.   

What you'll do:

  • Oversee inbound leads: establish first contact and follow up with leads as they reach out for more information
  • Gather information: determine if leads are qualified based on the information they provide about their goals and restrictions
  • Educate prospects: when applicable, introduce Contently and provide information about our business model and services
  • Opportunity Recognition: become familiar with the needs and priorities of each prospect in order to understand how Contently can best serve their interests
  • Coverage: Cover for individual teams in absence of senior team members (whether for travel or holiday).
  • Attend Meetings: Where applicable the senior strategists will include the Inbound Strategists on calls. This will contribute to their growth plan as well as insuring coverage
  • Propose and implement any and all improvements to this process

Who you are: 

  • 1-2 years* relevant experience in sales, marketing or strategic planning 
  • 1-2 years* research and campaign management experience
  • Understanding of marketing/media space
  • Excellent phone and people skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills 
  • Ability to work with clients and develop relationships 
  • Ability to work across different groups and disciplines
  • Demonstrated talent for consultative thinking/selling, spotting trends
  • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative research
